camping pitches

 

Our gorgeous traffic free camping pitches are set in our field, its an old quarry so its set back into the hillside and surrounded by mature trees, it makes for the most gorgeous sheltered site with extraordinary views across the windrush valley. Our pitches are traffic free meaning no slamming car doors, no driving on and off the field and complete relaxation, don't panic though we have plenty of wheelbarrows on hand to transport all your kit to your pitch!

 

We have two types of camping pitches available:

Standard Grass Pitch - 9x9m, non electric, grass pitch.  Family and pet friendly these are separated by tall grass and wildflowers. Campfires allowed at the pitch in designated areas. Due to fire safety we allow one large tent or two small (2 man and under size) on 1 pitch.  If you have larger or more you must book more than one pitch.

 

Coppice Grass Pitch - 9x14m, non electric, grass pitch.  Our new larger pitches offer a unique and private experience for those looking to escape into nature.  With only 3 available, these are against the old quarry bank, a protected part of our site for nesting wild birds, providing a more secluded setting for your camping adventures. Oh and they each come with their own picnic bench!  Campfires allowed at the pitch in designated areas.  Due to fire safety we allow one large tent or up to 3 small (2 man and under size) on 1 pitch.  If you have larger or more you must book more than one pitch.

 

On the Wildings we keep cars and camping seperate so everyone can relax on site so I'm afraid we have no space for campervans/caravans/mobile homes.

 

We have a washing up shed for keeping things clean and tidy, washing up with hot and cold running mains water.  There are 2 family sized loo and shower washrooms, a 6 cubicle loo block and a 4 cubicle shower block
