...because life needs more starry nights and crackling fires
As total country bumpkins, we are creating our site with nature at its heart. We are a brand new site (so bear with us!) but we are planting a lot and, as it grows, will become an airy woodland setting with lots of silver birch trees, beech hedges, wildflowers and lots of encouragement for local fauna - come and see what you can spot!
Situated at the top of the hill overlooking the Windrush Valley, less than a mile from Bourton-on-the-Water, otherwise known as ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, our campsite is the ideal choice for anyone wanting to holiday somewhere peaceful right in the centre of the Cotswolds.
When you turn into our entrance, you leave the real world behind as you drive around our barns to our lovely site. Parking is available on site just a short distance away from our pods.
Our beautiful pods are fully insulated, heated, and designed to take the hassle out of camping. Forget the times of washout weekends, battling with pitching a tent in the wind, and having to dry everything out when you get home! Just bring everything you need for your camping trip but leave the tent (and the stress) at home. In fact, if you would like to make life even easier, why not let us set up your pod with comfy camp beds (with real mattresses!!), fresh linen, towels, and maybe even a locally sourced welcome hamper? Click here to check out our extras.
The pods are an open-plan, generous 4m by 4m, and boast a light, electric heater and plug sockets (yes you can bring straighteners!) They are a wonderfully spacious place for a cosy, romantic weekend away, and there is loads of space for 2 singles if you are travelling with friends, or we can happily house a family of up to 5 (one in a travel cot) with plenty of space for the family pooch too!
Around the pods, we are creating a beautiful woodland garden, we leave grass long where we can for our visiting bugs and birds, but each pod has its own space where you can lay back and watch the clouds float by. Or grab one of our fire pits and a tripod barbecue and have a cook out beneath the stars!
We want to make your stay as relaxing as possible, so we have created a lovely Cook House to help. Our Cook House is a cosy space for those slow mornings, wet weekends, or just days when you don’t fancy going anywhere. It has comfy sofas and a fully-fitted communal kitchen which is opposite the play area, so you can make yourself a coffee whilst keeping an eye on the kids.
And then there is our loo and shower block. We have a fab brand new block spacious enough to take the children in with you, they are fully insulated, have great heaters, power showers and baby changing facilities too!
We also have a reception log cabin with lots of information about local sites to visit. Come and chat with us, and sign our guest book, we always try to help wherever we can and we love hearing about your stay!
